Bedales
Founded as an alternative to strict Victorian schooling, Bedales is proud to offer a truly rounded education. Set on a 120 acre site in rural Hampshire, Bedales is a co-ed school for students aged 13-18 (years 9-13).
Ideal student
A creative, self-starting child who likes to think independently and will make the most of a less conventional education. It particularly suits pupils who enjoy the arts but still want proper academic stretch.

Football, hockey, cricket and tennis.

The Olivier Theatre, strong art and design spaces, a working school farm and an observatory all capture the school’s unusually broad idea of education.
Saturday school
No traditional Saturday school, but boarding life and the wider programme mean weekends are still very much part of the Bedales experience.

Bedales has developed its own Bedales Assessed Courses, designed to replace much of the GCSE model with broader, research-led courses assessed over time.
