Our takeaway
Ampleforth is a distinctive boarding school set in a remarkable valley, where community life and tradition shape the experience as much as academics. It caters to a broad range of abilities and focuses on developing thoughtful, grounded pupils. The school has faced significant challenges in recent years but is working to rebuild while holding onto the character that makes it so unique.
"Ampleforth’s charms are immediate and difficult to resist. The College itself is stunning beyond compare, with the Abbey at its core and set in the beautiful valley."
